Celebrity relationships often dominate headlines, and Ariana Grande’s past romance with comedian Pete Davidson continues to spark conversation years later. But one playful comment from Grande may have revealed a little too much.
The pair famously dated in 2018, during the same period Grande released her album Sweetener. Their whirlwind romance drew huge media attention before the two went their separate ways.
Davidson, known for his offbeat humor and candid personality, has since been linked to several Hollywood stars, including Kim Kardashian, Madelyn Cline, and Emily Ratajkowski. Most recently, he went public with model Elsie Hewitt, just weeks after saying he was taking a break from dating.
Despite often joking about his looks, Davidson has admitted that navigating relationships in the spotlight can be difficult. Still, many fans point to his humor and charm as reasons why he attracts so much attention.
That reputation grew when Grande made a cheeky joke about him on social media. While discussing Sweetener, a fan tweeted asking, “how long is Pete?” Grande replied: “Like 10 inches? …. Oh f**k … I mean … like a lil over a minute.”
Though clearly meant as a joke, the post quickly spread before she deleted it. Fans saw it as playful, but Davidson later revealed he wasn’t amused.
In a Netflix interview, he admitted, “I don’t like that she talked all that stuff about me.” The remark suggested that Grande’s humor may have crossed a line, at least from his perspective.
While the moment has since passed, it remains a much-discussed example of how celebrity relationships — and even small jokes — can have long-lasting ripples in the public eye.
