An old Native American man was once sitting peacefully outside his small home when a curious visitor stopped to chat with him. After a few minutes of friendly conversation, the visitor became interested in his family and asked him about his wife.

“What is your wife’s name?” the visitor asked politely.

The old man looked thoughtful for a moment before answering, “Wife name—Three Horse.” The visitor raised his eyebrows. He had never heard such an unusual name before and immediately became curious about its meaning.

The old man nodded seriously. “Yes,” he replied. “It is an old Native American name.” His calm expression made the visitor even more curious. The visitor leaned closer, expecting to hear an ancient story about horses, bravery, or perhaps some important family tradition.

“So, what does ‘Three Horse’ mean?” the visitor finally asked. The old man paused for a second, as though searching for exactly the right words. Then he answered with complete seriousness, “Means… Nag, Nag, Nag.”

The visitor stared at him for a moment before suddenly understanding the joke. He burst out laughing. “Oh, I get it!” he said. “Three horses means three nags!”

The old man simply smiled and nodded. “Exactly,” he said. “Very old name.” The visitor could hardly stop laughing, imagining the poor wife being described as a three-horse team of constant complaining.

The old man then turned toward his house and called, “Honey, I’m home!” A voice immediately came from inside: “Where have you been? Why are you so late? And did you remember to buy the milk?” The visitor looked at the old man and started laughing again. The old man sighed and whispered, “See? Three Horse.”
