Sprinkling powder around a room or yard may seem simple, but it does not address why the snake came there.
Snakes usually enter buildings because they are looking for food, shelter, or a way to escape weather and predators. Rodents can be a major attraction because snakes may follow mice or rats into areas where food is available. They can also enter through foundation cracks, damaged screens, open basement windows, gaps around pipes and wires, doors, garages, and other small openings.
